Busy as a Bee
Today was amazing. We began our day by sleeping in a little more then we are use to. We got up and Nana and I went fishing. We didn't even get one nibble. Well, anyway we went the Hat Creek Observatory. The first thing I noticed was the huge radio telescopes. We had to follow green feet to do our own tour. I learned that they used to have a very big radio telescope, but one day there was a storm that lifted it right off its stand. It broke. After that they built two other ones. Now the array has 24or30 telescopes. Then we went back to the motorhome for lunch. Next we went to the Subway Cave, which is a very big tunnel where lava came out. It was very dark and a little scary. After we came out, we went back to our home and Nana began doing laundry. My afternoon was packed with things I did. It started with fishing. Then went to roasting hotdogs on a open fire. Last have s'mores. To me that was the perfect evening. Now at 8:48pm I will go to bed, but on the couch ,because we are leaving very early in the morning and I don't want to get up. Goodnight viewers. See you tomorrow.
Mt. Lassen
Today was a big day. We began by waking up and getting ready for the mountains. It had rained the night before. It was dripping a little the next morning. It was not cold, just cool. I was very tired because of how late I was up. Well, today we drove up to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The Indians once believed that the whole Earth was consumed in water, but one day a mountain emerged from the water spitting out sparks of fire drying up most of the water and then there was life. That mountain was Mt Lassen. It was not a long drive, but it took awhile. When up there we saw a boulder that was placed at the tip of this cliff by a glacier 80,000 years ago. The boulder froze in the ice then the glacier broke off and slowly slid down the Bumpass Hell overlook. It took 18,000 years then came to a stop at the end of the cliff. The glacier melted and the boulder was at peace. They call this boulder a glacial erratic because it is a different kind of rock than the rock it has been sitting on. If you look closely at the rocks near the bottom of the rock you will see lines leading up to the rock. This are the marks left by the glacier. Our next stop was at Sulphur Works. This is like a big mudpot. It is created by gas underground that heats the water in the mud and creates steam. In spring it is very muddy, because of the snow melting so it does not steam. But in the summer it is dry and muddy so it does steam. When there we learned that once there was a great volcano that towered above all the others. Then it just disappeared but that volcano left great mountains behind. This volcano was called Break Away Mountain. We began to drive home. When home I went swimming and then took a shower. After Nana and I played a game of FARKEL. After we ate dinner, we had s'mores. Then we went to bed.

Hat Creek!!!
We started our day by moving to Hat Creek. Then we unpacked and ate lunch. Then we decided to go to a museum, Fort Crook Historical Society. It was amazing they had a lot of old stuff like an old dentist chair and they also had an up stairs with a look out. We then took a look around. They had a old schoolhouse, a jail, and a cabin. It was amazing. After we went to the museum we went for gas then to Burney Falls. It was cool because it had water coming down its sides. Then made our way home. At the camp site I went swimming. It was nice. After we had dinner, hamburgers. Then we played FARKEL it was so fun. I won two, Bumpa won one , and Nana one nothing. Then we went to bed.

FISHING!!!!!
I had the most interesting night of my life. I woke up at 2:00am and went to the bathroom because of a bloody nose. It was horrible, blood all over my face. Then Nana came and took care of things. I went back to sleep and got up at 6:30am and went to get ready for fishing. Then we went to the lower falls. There were no one there only Bumpa, me, and the fish. I did 5 casts in to the water from 10 feet up high. Then I felt a pull, then I began to reel in very slowly then I felt a bigger pull. Then nothing, it got away. I put more bait on my hook and coasted it out 2times then a big big pull. I felt like my rod was going to break!!! Then Bumpa came to the rescue. He grabbed my rod and pulled on the line and up came my fish. Then we strung him and and Bumpa went to the car to put him away. He put the fish in the cooler. Then I began to fish again. Then time passed I though that I was over but then a pull it was not as strong as the first one so I reeled in faster. It was a fish!! I reeled in and put him in the cooler with my other one. Then we walked from the fishing hole and then there was a male deer standing there and then ran away. Then went to the motorhome and then I cleaned my fish. After breakfast, we packed a lunch and went to McCloud lake. It was beautiful. We went there, ate lunch and did some fishing. Got no fish, but a lot of sun. We went back to the motor home and then went to our camp swimming hole. It was packed with people. The water was cold but very nice. After that we went home and took a shower. Then we prepared the fish and cooked it on a camp fire. Then we ate it. It was very delightful. After that we had s'mores. Then I went to bed. We had a full day I wonder what will happen tomorrow!

Crater Lake
Today was cool. We woke up and it was freezing in my part of the motor home. It was so cold!!!!! We got up and Nana made me hot chocolate. Then left for Crater Lake. We arrived at the lake and it took my breath away. Cater Lake was made by a volcano that erupted over 7900 years ago. The Indians believe that if you looked a pond the lake's water you will die. Also they believe that a giant crayfish lived in the lake and unwanted visitor will be snatched from the rim of the lake and will disappear in to the depths. The lake was originally empty but over the years water filled the lake from rain and snow. The water is so clear, because of that. We drove around the lake clockwise. Then went and saw a water fall it was one mile in and out. Then went to an other water fall. Then headed home. The bugs got to me. We ate dinner and had a perfect campfire we finally had s'mores and we did not fail them went to bed.
