At 11:00am we got in the car for Loleta.   W e went there to visit the Cheese Factory and bakery. My favorite cheese was the grilled garlic. It tasted like garlic bread. At the bakery it smelled very very good. We bought bread for the picnic. Then went to Humboldt National Wildlife Refuge for our picnic. Before lunch Bumpa and I went for a walk and saw a song sparrow. Then came back for lunch. There were four garden snakes that I found.    They were small and were green with yellow stripes and red dots. Then we drove to Ferndale where we checked out  downtown. Then we went outside Ferndale to Centerville Beach. I got my pants wet because a wave came In too fast when I was not expecting it. Then we had to go home. I changed and we made dinner. And watched a movie, BIG FAT LIAR. Then went to bed.

Avenue of the Giants

Today was a big day. We first woke at 6:00 in the morning. Second we drive for 20min to get to the Avenue of the Giants. When there, we took a walk  in the Ralf Caney grove. The Redwood trees are the biggest in the world. We stop at the side of the road to eat lunch. Then kept going. On the road I saw sign that said DRIVE THRU  TREE I could not resist it we turned the car around and spent 6dollars just to drive thru a tree. Nana and I both agree that it was worth  it. Also they had tree houses there. Next we went to the Rockefeller grove. There we went on a 10min hike and saw THE GIANT Which is the biggest Redwood in the world. On the trail a deer is came. Then went to lunch . Then went to a horse camp and ate out there. When there, I spotted two wild turkeys. About half way thru lunch two black tailed deer walked out of the forest and about 50 yards away. One was a baby and one female mom deer. We then went for a long drive we saw four deer on the road. We saw the coastand walked on the beach. Came home, ate dinnerand went to bed.

On the road again

We are on the road heading North. Our destination is Fortuna. On our way we saw many advertisments. Two of these advertisements intertwine with the Redwoods. One of these places is the eternal tree, it is a tree that has survived trough lightning strikes, floods, and even fires. The second one is the tree house. It is a 12 foot room made from a Redwood tree still in the ground. When we made it to the campsite we decided to go to a sea grill for dinner. We went to the Sea Grill and I eat a king salmon and I tried a clam and a oyster. I did like the taste but the texture was the problem. We went home after dinner and went to bed for the big day tomorrow.
